Doesn't the Eagle F1 come from China nowadays?

I suspect there is some sort of glut or wholesale sell off of old stock, as my mate has just got a similar (£88) deal from our local indie tyre dealer.

I've heard that they're far inferior to the German made ones (which I think stopped being made a while back).

I got Falken 452s (?) for less than £86 each.

It's the Chinese / Korean ones they've stopped importing. You should be able to get a hold of the German ones, which are a decent tyre. The Chinese ones are flawed.

If i have read things correctly (its the internet.. i may not have)

Then all F1 production has stopped. The German ones a fair while ago and the last stragglers ( which i bought) will be the chinese/korean ones. Meh... like i said. we shall see!

Either way, it seems the end is nigh for my favourite tyre.

The Toyo's seem okay so far, not really had any dry weather to test them yet, but grip in the wet is good.

Anyone remember Pirelli P5000 Drago's? They were pretty good, back then...

Im replacing Toyo T1R's...

I was pretty impressed with them. im no racing driver but in the dry i never got the car to slide. I always gave up before the tyres.
