Anyone with any experience of the limited edition Alfa GTV Cup (or even the standard v6)? I saw one at work the other day and was bowled over with how handsome it was. Does an '02 Cup at about £15,500 make a valid proposition for a daily runner? Are they reasonably reliable and what are the maintenance and running costs like, compared with, say, an S2 Elise?

Try punting this into the Fiat&Alfa forum...

However, the only differences between the Cup and a 'standard' 3.0V6 are as follows:

- Part leather seats rather than full leather.
- Limited edition plaque on the dash.
- Only available in Alfa Rosso in the UK.
- Cosmetic vents on the front wings.
- Aero kit & side skirts included as standard.
- Wheels slightly different colour.

£15k for an '02 model sounds about right, dependent on milage (should be pretty low).

I've used my '01 3.0V6 as a daily driver for the past 3 years. Its never broken down and only had minor niggly things go wrong with it, all of which have been sorted under warranty. Take a peek at my profile to see the history.

Practical its not (the rear seats should strictly be viewed as extra luggage space and the boot is a joke), but it never fails to raise a smile. Its fast enough for me (6.5 ish 0-60, 155mph all out, 220bhp, 199lbft) looks good and feels "special", if you know what I mean.
