Just been quoted £99.00 for an oil change on 2004 1.3 Multijet Punto. Is that reasonable?

If it's just an oil change you could probably do it yourself (ability permitting) for £30 for oil and filter and 15 minutes.

£99 for that seems a bit steep unless there is additional parts/work.

That's what I thought. It's only 3.5 ltrs of oil and an £8.00 filter!

Is that a main dealer price?

If not, then National will probably do it for around £20-30

Try your details here for a quote http://www.national.co.uk/oil-vehicle-search.aspx

confused a link to National Car hire? Doesn't say anything about oil changes on there.

ETA £99.00 was main dealer price.

No idea what happened there, I think PH's affiliate link creator had a barmy few minutes.

Copy the text in it's simplest form... i.e try going to national.co.uk and click the oil link there smile

If you don't care about the dealer stamp, then go anywhere else for the same service but at a 1/3rd of the cost.
