I am gonna debadge my 166 at the weekend. What is the best way of doing this?

I found a hair dryer on it for 30secs did the job.
If its really tough get a piece of thin string or thread and run it down the back of badge when its still warm.
Maybe someone will be along with a better technique but that worked for me.

However, depending on the age of the car you might notice a slight difference on the paint due to UV light!

Plus something like lighter fluid to get rid of any sticky residue from the glue.

De-locked and de-badged my Cinquecento today so I could put some graphics on there.

Make sure the tailgate is clean, this is one of only two times I reccomend the use of washing up liquid on a car to remove all the road crap that gets sprayed up.



Remove the badges with the plastic scraper you get with filler, take any remaining tape off and use turps and a soft cloth to take any residue from the tape left behind. Take the lock mechanism out and disconnect the central locking motor.



Flatten the hole where the lock was and weld a small plate in place. Filler over the top of the plate, flatten and spray.
