Alfa 159 Boot Compartment/Lid Lights problem

My friend has an Alfa 159 Sportwagon and is having some challenges with boot lights and the one on the tailgate.

They are all there and the bulbs have been checked and are fine but there is no light

He has been unable to locate the fuse (even with the help of the owners handbook as it's not listed) so can anyone shed any light

There's a microswitch in the latch - mine failed about a week after I got it, the latch mechanism was swapped under warranty and it's been fine for almost two years since.

Fuseboxes should be in the handbook. (They're in mine).
Try above the drivers right knee for starters.
