Considering my next project car (well hoping for less of a project).
Would love a GTV v6 but apparantly I won't fit in it? Is this true, heights in my legs so need leg room. Could just about drive my old alfa spider (1986)small steering wheel would have fixed it.
If a gtv's out what would other people go for for upto £3k.
Must be fast(ish), look nice make a great noise and not be a boy racer mobile or jap. I've had a tvr s which was nice.

Cheers

You will have no issues getting comfy in a GTV... I have been using one and I am 6'3".... Just make sure that it is not one of the rare ones with a sunroof as you will loose about 1.5" and then you may have issues!

They are easy to get comfy in, the 2.0TS and 3.0 V6 both go very well... have a look here >> http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-gtv-and-916-sp...

All you will ever need to know! biggrin

I can just about get comfy if I've had a recent haircut (oh, shoe size can be an issue also - mine are size 12 so I have to wear shoes without wide soles otherwise I can easily get a foot trapped!!!

6ft here with a sunroof model and no issues. Comfortable, although bizarrely getting in/out seems more of a faff than in some lower cars.

I'm 6'4 and my GFs step dad has both a Phase1 GTV and spider and i fit in both fine. I recently took a phase 2 out for a spin (nicer interior IMO) and fitted fine...I don't fit in one if it has a sunroof.

When you first drive one you may feel like you're hunching a bit, but thats more the letter box window...you soon get used to it. I can't wait to pay off my debts so I can finally own one myself!!

I'm 6'3 and there is plenty of leg room but I am considering lowering the seats to gain a bit more headroom.

There are a couple of spacers withing the seat that can be removed, I'm also going to have a word with a local car trimmer to see if they can lower the seat squabs by a couple of centimetres to gain a bit more lateral support.

Don't let that put you off though, they are plenty comfortable enough for tall people

Seems like I've gone full circle with various car purchases.
I'm still in the market for GTV but doubt I'd afford a v6.
Have seem a couple of nice 2.0TS for £1800.
If they still handle well and feel reasonably quick I might go for one.
The problem is the fiat coupe turbo can be had for this money but I don't like it as much and two surely the engine is likely to self distruct with a higher probability in this price range.

Firstly, if you don't like it much, why even bother thinking about it?
