Had a new uprated Clutch kit fitted to my 2.4 JTD in January ,yesterday the pedal went to the floor!
The RAC towed it to the Alfa Indy who fitted the clutch kit, they say that the thrust bearing retaining clip has broken, the people who supplied the clutch say it must have been fitted incorrectly?!So it cost approx £500 & I'm in the middle, car stranded looking at another large bill to sort this mess out.You just cannot win.

Your contract is with the indy as they supplied and fitted the clutch. They should put the situation right at no cost to you. If they in turn were supplied with faulty goods that's for them to pursue with their supplier or the manufacturer as a separate matter.
Edit: just re-read - did you buy the clutch kit and give it to the garage to fit or did they supply it?

Hi
No like a fool I listened to ravings on a Alfa forum on how great these clutches are & bought it online.
The Indy is being pretty good , the supplier has asked for a photo of the clutch kit & has said its never been known & he suspects the fork inside is broken, passed this info onto the Indy & he has verified the fork is fine.
The problem with this is that while the suppliers decide on the forward action the Indy garage space is taken up not earning him money so I guess I will have a hefty bill after a long drawn out wait. I need the car to be ready in 2 weeks time as I have paid in advance for a week away while our daughter is away on a school trip ,if its not then I'll have to take my car & that will mean I'll have to pay for a weeks board in akennel for the dog or not go,on top of which I have already paid extra to take the bloody dogJeez ,I bought an expensive uprated clutch as I wanted to make sure it would last
