156 2.5 V6 wheels/tyres
Discussion
I bought the car several weeks ago and am very pleased with it, apart from the amount of tyre squeal during "enthusiastic" cornering.
It came with mixed tyres all round, all well-known makes, and all with lots of tread. They are the original 205/60x15 size.
Does anyone know some quieter tyres, or would bigger wheels with lower-profile tyres make more of a difference? I know I would have a larger choice in something like 215/45x17
Thanks for any help you may be able to give,
Dave

Had mine done again, last weekend: full Hunter laser job, was a bus ride out everywhere. Lots of potholes & speed bumps around here, so I guess that's why. It's an absolute delight to drive, again.
As for different types, front or rear - I think I'd go for the different on the rear, tbh, although there's arguements both ways, & ideally I'd not run like that for long, anyway.

I had Pirelli P6000 all round until recently. Found it very easy to induce tyre squeal but also had chronic inside edge wear on the F O/S.
Looked for a reasonably price set of 4 tyres and ended up with Uniroyals (not my first choice to be honest but £70 a corner) but so far all is good. These are supposed to be good wet tyres but their dry performance is as good as I need.
BTW, the tracking was way off so I'm hoping that I'll get a reasonable life from them. Noticed immediately the improvement in steering feel after the new tyres and alignment was done.
