15th August Lancias Alfas and Fiats wanted in Scotland
Discussion
Hi
Once again this year I am organising an Italian Car and Bike day at Hopetoun House near Edinburgh. Last year we were limited by Hopetoun as to what we cold do and the size of the event. this year we are not!!
I want to have a Gandini / Bertone display and am looking for a Lancia Stratos and an Alfa Romeo Montreal to form part of the display. Additionally I am hoping for a good turn out from the cars from this section. So far we have had quite a bit of interest but are looking for more. If people are coming along could they start a list or email me as we are trying to give Hopetoun a clear number in advance which helps plans additional catering/toilets etc

Hi
was nice to have met so many people from this forum at Silverstone classic last weekend. A bit scary when people come up and ask ' are you Paul' and I had no idea who they were! Suppose the red Espada was a giveaway!
Anyway, I do hope that some of you will make it up! Best comment was from someone from the Maserati club ''Edinburgh, Frankfurt is closer''!! It isn't necessary to cross the chanel or hadrians wall to get to Edinburgh!! Mind you in view of that persons age i think he was talking about bomber range!
See you on the 15th??

Could be a lot more than you think coming! Was at a hospice today with Ferrari club and friends, to entertain the kids and their families. Hoping might get a couple of F40's and other nice cars, but we are looking for ALL types of Italian cars and bikes!!
Come on you guys, must be a lot of you reading this forum!!

I'm sorely tempted, really, I am, but................we're at Chatsworth this coming Sunday and that was pushing it to get a pass out from the boss (she's even coming along this time to keep an eye on me Should be a great day out
Paul
). I've got 3 wedding on the day before your event (2 of which I'm shooting myself) and it's an early flight on Monday. Another time maybe???LAWRENCE
Hi there
Hopetoun charge £5 per car to get in so in short yes we all have to pay to have our car in front of the house. Doesnt matter how many people are in your car it is still £5. The public who are visiting pay £3.70 per adult and £2.20 per child. Compared to most other events eg Autoitalia the entry price is actually very low. All the money goes to Hopeton as I am making no money from the event!! So far cost me a fair bit
Sorry that was no clearer
