Alfa 147 minor irritations

I have an 05 plate Alfa 147 JTD 16v which I've had since it was nearly new. On the whole the car is in good condition but has recently picked up a few niggling faults.

Firstly the aircon and the blower are not working properly. The aircon never blasts out cold air like it used to and also the blower seems to need to be on full or there's not much air coming out.

Also the gear change has lost it's spring and I think the gear selector plate may be faulty.

Any thoughts? Also can anyone in Central Scotland reccommend a good independnt garage for repairs?
