i had a good look at the new Giulietta at the FoS - its nice but the 1750 on display had an OTR price of £31k! what do think of it now you can see it in real life rather than pictures ?

I also had a good look over the two on display at the FOS and thought they were very nice. The front looks much nicer in the flesh as I'd hoped and the rear looks fantastic, very tidy overall. Not too keen on the interiors though, the fascia design looks a little too Fiat based, but some nice finishes in there.

However, I went and had a look over the 159 in the corner after and as far as looks and implied build quality are concerned, that just blew the Guilietta's away. Compared to the 159, they looked tall, dumpy and unesserarily large (it really does look quite big for that class of car). The interior on the older car is far more appealing too, really solid feel (a very nice 'thunk' to the doors) and a beautiful alloy finish to the dash. The Guilietta's a nice looking car, but I know which I prefer.

We looked at the MiTo as a 147 replacement when it came out, and came away a bit disappointed.

Much happier with the Giulietta, it seems (first impressions) to be as big a step forward from the 147 as the 159 was from the 156.

If you add all the options to the top-of-the-range car then it can seem dear, but it's really just the same list price as a Golf.

I quite like it now i've seen it in the flesh, but it's not exactly striking. A shame it doesn't stand out like the old 145 used to.

I'm worried, it does look a bit like the new Astra with fancy lights rolleyes

Anyone know when the semi auto is due out and if one placed an order now when is likely delivery. Thinking about one for my wife but cant wait more than 6 months to get a physical car. Ive been trying to find out from the dealers and they aren't exactly sure!

Alfa haven't said anything to the dealers but January next year at the earliest.

MiTo Auto orders have only just opened!
