Fiat 2ltr Twin Cam Engine info
Discussion
I hate to seem like a miserable old sod but is this really the first place you thought of?
Did you even think of the Fiat Motor Club, Sporting Fiats Club, www.fiat124.com,www.131mirafiori.com or even the god of twin cam engines Guy Croft (who has a forum)?

Great welcome guys
To the OP, do you know which car the engine came from, it would help with offering some advice, particularly as (afaik) there are 8v and 16v variants?
Having said that, the links provided above would be good sources of info if you can confirm some details.

On the basis that it may be an older engine then a decent 10/40 semi synth oil or even a 20/50 ifs its got s few miles under its belt. Probably best not to exceed 5500 rpm until you know more about the engine. Plenty of Fiat forums to check out, just do a Google search and there's a raft of choices.
Robsco - Indeed PLEASE
Pixlepimp - Your user name suggests you are a photographer - They are all misserble old sods
I am a frequent user of Pistonheads so therefore this was, to me, the first place to try. Thanks for the link and heads up re Guy, will get me coat and go over there
wrinx, indeed but hey I have broad shoulders. It's a 16v vatriant but unfortunatly do not know where the engine came from as its in a kit car with little history
xyyman, thanks, will pass that on re the oil

If you look anywhere, do it here first....
Guy Croft has more knowledge of the Fiat TCs than most. He has a new edition book out at the moment, it is the TC Bible.
