Alfa 156 cambelt gone - economic to repair?
Discussion
I'm in New Zealand and my sister is in Wellingborough so I'm too far away to help directly. She has a 156 Twin Spark and the cambelt has gone resulting in the car not drivable - I don't know yet how much damage has been done.
Are these cars worth fixing assuming the worst, or sell off and buy another car. They don't have much spare cash to do this so I'm trying to help from the other side of the world!
All advice welcome. Thanks in advance, Mark.

Autolusso will ship internationally, they recently sent some Q2 diffs to South Africa, they also have refurbished twin spark heads in stock - probably your best bet.
the one oddity on the twin spark is you will need to change the big end shells too, as they get crushed when pistons and valves meet.
if you have the cam locks etc, its a viable DIY job, you can grantee most if not all 16 valves are bent, and as i sid, you will need big end shells.
keep us informed.
