Alfa 156 2.0 TS Hesitation / Flat Spot

Hi,
The last few mornings my 156 has really struggled between 1000 and 2500 RPM when first started from cold.
Is this a common fault that anyone can easy diagnose/or experienced?
The car was serviced about 4k ago - with new plugs.
Possible MAF of Lambda sensor?
Is it worth disconnecting the battery to re-set the ECU?
