Hi Chaps,

Could do with some advice please... Have seen what appears to be a tidy looking GTA for sale -

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2189787.htm

I've noticed the price has already been dropped by £500 to £8995 - is this a little steep if it hasn't had Q2 work done (no mention in ad)? Assuming not done, how much would I need to budget to get it sorted - I have read it's essential although is it as overblown as the Vanos noise issue on an E36 M3?

The OH is chopping her car in for a Mk2 Mx5 and that, coupled with me now driving to work means the Z3 will inevitably soon be up for sale. We'll still need a hatch and this seems to tick all the boxes. Does anyone live with one as a daily driver?

All help/advice appreciated smile

To buy and have the Q2 fitted you are looking at around £450-£600 from recollection.

I have a GTA that hasn't had a Q2 fitted (will probably do it next year if I still have the car) and to be honest couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. Until I was taken out in a Q2 fitted GTA with eibach anti-roll bars fitted. The difference in cornering speeds was immense.

I have also noticed that GTA's seem to have stopped depreciating now, in fact they seem to have risen in price slightly over the last year or so. Last year most 03/04 GTA's were £6995-£7500, now they seem to be £7995+.

Thanks chaps. Love the interior yes Will keep an eye on it but realistically need to part with mine first before buying as only have £3k cash to hand right now. Will definitely look to test drive one with the Q2 work done - had a quick look over at Alfa Owner and it seems to back that up.

What are the insurance costs like out of interest? Mine is up for renewal next week so will try and see what price Flux can come up with.
