Alfa 156 trim levels
Discussion
Hi guys,
Looking for some help regards 156 trim. My dad has found a 2.5 v6 156 that he likes the look of, from the pictures it appears to have a wooden steering wheel and gear knob.
It has the orangey beige leather interior and is a dark red colour. Its a V reg. Just wondered what trim level this might be, the owner doesnt seem to have much of an idea about the car unfortunatly and we're currently looking into costs of getting the cambelt done...
From what I can find on the net it could be lusso? But not sure. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Wood wheel, shift and console were standard on V6 in 1999/2000, the Lusso tag didn't really come in till 2001 along with the Veloce, sounds like a standard car with Metallic Paint and Leather interior upgrade. If it was a Sport Pack would have 16" 5 holees, side skirts and lowered suspension plus Leather wheel/shift and black/orange instruments and carbon console. There were quite a few grey imports brought in 2000/2001 with mixed up specs to confuse the issue further.

Above is pretty much spot on but Lusso was a 'pack' before it was a 'model' during the same era that Sport pack 1, 2 and 3 existed (Ie 1998 to mid 2000). There were so many imports (possibly as many as half the cars sold in that period) the spec could easily be a bit mixed up though.I always thought the wooden stuff ruined the V6, the Sport pack cars were the ones to have. If you ordered a Lusso pack on a Twinspark, you got the wood as well as the leather, though given the V6 had the wood anyway you were probably a bit short changed with a Lusso pack on a V6!.
