Well the Alfa has had a little hissy fit of late.

New clutch required
New drive shaft (both part) required.

How much should we expect to pay for either and both?

Any links?
Any cracking indies up north??

Any help greatly appreciated...

Don't know about the drive shaft, but if you're changing your clutch a popular upgrade is to stick a in GTA clutch and solid flywheel out of a 156. Clutch uptake isn't as smooth as with the dual mass flywheel but it lets the engine rev more freely and improves power delivery. I had mine done with a load of other work so I don't know the exact cost, but it's usually about the £400 mark I think if you can get hold of a flywheel from a breaker.

And while you have all those bits off it would be rude not to fit a Q2 LSD smile

1 garage has quoted 8.5hrs to replace clutch. Is that right?!!
Is it an engine out job? Seems a lot of time.

How much are these trick diffs and where best to get one and how much are they?

Thanks.

Sounds about right...I've done my JTD clutch (twice!) and I think that's booked at around 8hrs too.

Subframe has to come off so there's a fair bit of work.
