156 JTD 16v makes whooshing noise

Driven to London and back today (Live in North Northants). Under acceleration there is a strange whooshing noise and the car is very sluggish, any thoughts on what this may be? Could it just be a hose linked to the turbo?

Yes it sounds like an inter-cooler pipe has come off or is split you should be able to see it or here where it's coming from.

Cheers mate. I touch it to Intaservices yesterday and indeed the hose has got a hole in it. They've ordered the part and patched the car up until it arrives.

Same happened to mine, I have got a Samco hose on their now as it is stronger and worked out cheaper.
