For some reason, I've been looking at Lancia Thema's recently. I'm planning to sell my Elise - it just doesn't get used enough with the kids growing up. Looking to replace it with something with 4 seats (or at least 2+2). There's just something about 90's saloons with a big engine in it. Top of the list is the 8.32 of course, but a nice 3.0 or 2.0 Turbo would be fine too I guess. Anyone got experience with them? I really would prefer the 8.32, as I'd like something collectible. But I fear keeping them on the road might be very expensive... Only planning to do about 5.000 km a year though, and with a budget of about 10k. Your ideas would be very welcome smile

I assume you are not UK based by quoting your annual mileage in Km. I ran an 8.32 a few years ago as it was one of the cars on my 'must own' list, it wasn't a disappointment but on the other hand I wasn't convinced it was a keeper. It lurched around like a north sea ferry, the leather interior creaked and to be honest the performance was OK, nothing more. An Alfa 164 Cloverleaf or indeed a Thema Turbo 16V would have run rings round it. The electric rear spoiler was cool though. If you are after some multi-cylinder refinement then go for a 3.0 V6 with the Alfa engine, these were detuned to about 175bhp but if you can find a late car with the Poltrona Frau leather and the 8.32 dash then this would be my Thema choice. If you really want an 8.32 and all it's problems then I would also suggest a Maserati 430 or similar
