I've replaced the seats in my 156. It's a 1999 1.8TS without side airbags. The seats that I have put in are from a later 156 with side airbags. The old passenger seat had a small connection for the airbag seat sensor (i assume) there are two wires, one blue and one white. The new seat (with side airbag) has three wires and a different connector. The wires are black & white, black and white (i think). Since the old wires aren't connected to anything now, the airbag light is on. I wanted to know if there was anything i could connect to the wires (a resistor or somesuch?) that would switch the light out? I am not worried about connecting the cables from the seat because the necessary wiring to trigger the airbag probably isn't there and i don't want to mess with it. does any of that make sense? any help gratefully received smile

Switching off the light is the least of your worries...I think your driver and passenger airbags will not be functional while there's an error showing in the system.

I'd be getting it wired up properly.
