Alfa GT diesel fuel tank position

Does anyone know where it sits? i.e. on the left hand side of the car, the right, central etc etc?

I believe (since based on the 156/147) that the tank is under the rear seats.... in the middle for good weight distribution.... I am about 99% sure!

As the other poster has mentioned the fuel tank is located beneath the rear seats (on the other side of the floor plan).

It isn't on the left or right but across the entire width of the car (about 8-9 inches in from each side).
