As we slowly drift toward the Ferrari polishing forum, a reminder of what driving Porsches is really all about.

I'd be asking the team for more front brake bias - other than that, this looks just about perfect.

Just imagine how much better the whole experience would be with contrasting stitching and a leather dash.

I think a 991.2 GT3 with the great 4.0 litre engine would be more fun though, and hold its value better :-)

Didn't someone recently ask about (in)stability under braking? Instead of offering advice shouldn't we have told him to grow some large ones?

Phwoar. thumbup

When watching I kept thinking the track was going to spit him off at some stage - seemed like a lot of mid-corner bumps and ridges (while changing gear during a neutral drift laugh ).

He does some great incar vids, the only way to drive the early beasts to get rid of the understeer, entertaining on the bumpiest track in the world.
Im sure i can see some deviated stitching, and he has it switched to Manuel rather than paddles.smile

Great watch! How about some footage of the late, great Sean Edwards to compliment the thread. Here's a long one but you only need to watch the first few minutes to see what a 911 with a phenomenal driver is all about:

Love how stiff the car looks in relation to the window section of the door.

Apart from seeing daylight between the car and door? The window section of door is flapping about with the stresses placed on the car as it drives.

The Best on You Tube , is Leh Keen at Sebring in the 996 GT3RS ....... the best heel and toe work , sadly my car has been to Sebring but an engine issue at Daytona a few weeks before meant no running ....

I hate to think what that driving’s doing to the potential resale value of the car. Is he not taking that into consideration? ;-)

Anyway, great vid. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for posting. Sean was the best 911 driver that I’ve ever met and one of the nicest people both in and out of the pit lane.

Respect for:

A) owning the best Porsche road car ever built
B) driving it as intended
C) as per B but in the pouring rain at the best race track in the world
