Lovely - my 1st car was a MK2 Cortina (1500cc with vinyl seats and rubber mats, but a 1600E wooden dash)!

Then in 1983 I bought an Escort:-



But after about 18 months I sold it so I could buy a 2.8 Injection Capri.

My 1st car was a MK2 Cortina in Lagoon Blue - complete with vinyl seats, rubber mats, a pond in the N/S/R footwell but a 1600E wooden dash! (And GT badges, plus 6.5" banded rims)!

yes you can check the MOT status on https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

but since 40 year old cars are exempt it may not be there
