Advanced Aircraft Manoeuvering Talks
Discussion
Working from home has increased my propensity for disappearing down rabbit holes on YouTube and consuming hours of content I wouldn't otherwise have stumbled across. My latest discovery is a series of four talks given by Captain Warren VanderBurgh in 1997 when he was Chief Pilot for American Airlines, regarding unusual attitude recoveries, dealing with control malfunctions, CFIT avoidance and dealing with winshear and microbursts. He's a very eloquent and engaging orator and even as a "non pilot but interested in aviation" man on the street the talks are absolutely fascinating. I thought I'd share the links here as other's here might enjoy them. The quality of the vids isn't great and the sound is only in one ear but they are still eminently watchable.

Last weekend we watched the film Flight with Denzel Washington as a drug and alcohol addicted pilot who managed to pull off a incredible rescue of a flight that went severely wrong. His answer to the predicament he found himself in was to revert to inverted flight.
Your link has shown what completely bks the film was.
