(No, not me!)

Plod (x2) turned up at my daughters home and asked about her partner, mentioned does he drive a specific coloured car, she asked what's it about and they refused to divulged, but they asked for him by name

I'm fairly surprised that if it's just maybe driving like a tool that the police would bother to do a home visit?

Of course, I'm now sat here thinking he's been behind everything from the grassy knoll to prince Andrew!

I think you need to go all Jack Byrnes on him.

Perhaps your DD has not told you the whole story?

They are not really going to only ask 'does he drive a blue car?' as that info would be utterly useless

Sorry, they did specify Blue and the right manufacturer. And it's more FNOAD than DD!

It's all a bit odd to be honest. Maybe I'm just bored and intrigued.

a lot of years ago I was house sitting for a guy who had a Discovery.

He had a visit from plod who wanted to see his car and was quite interested when told he was out of the country.

They were visiting all owners of Green Landrover's.

I worked out that it was for this case eventually.

PS - I was not house sitting for Noye!

Oh Crikey!

Could be entirely innocent then. I'll update if I ever find out!

It could well be because he has been driving like a knob. Also, possible he is a potential witness to a serious RTA and somebody else noted his reg.

I'm aware of people being visited for both of the above.

Apparently they are going back tonight to interview him (at home) and they advised him over the phone that he could have legal representation.

If I had my time again I would have made damn sure I had legal representation there for my police 'chat'.

Was young and didn't spot the trap.

Legal representation is a must.

The police are not going to be talking to him because they think he's done nothing.

They think there is a chance he's done something that is worth their time to investigate.

Do not speak to the police without representation in circumstances like this.

Oof. Time to make an appointment at the station and bring a solicitor

He might be best advised to decline their offer of a home visit.

Lawyer up and make them do it properly

I've passed your sage council on, however one might as well bark at the moon as to advise this idiot... It would be more effective.

He says he has no idea what it's about, we'll see I guess. No update yet!
