Well dicky, I bought the Vauxhall.
Congratulations on your purchase, SMM.I trust the mighty Griffon-badged Insania motorcar will serve you well and satisfy your transportational requirements with dignity, aplomb and comfortness.

Yes, I know: it was a toss-up between that and the V8 Monaro VX-R...
I would not buy one but my nice car days are over. I just want something to take me to work and take stuntwoman and myself away weekends. It, if it’s reliable will do that comfortably.
I have spoken to people that hate them, and people that love them.
So like every other car out there its a lottery, but it was cheap so not the end of the world if I end up offloading it in a year.
But I am now living off savings, so hopefully it works out.
I know I'm an infrequent visitor to trivial towers, but just wanted to say this forum and all (well, most!) who inhabit it have really helped to get me through a challenging time for me personally in the last couple of years. Thank you and merry New Year to all of you, here's to a great 2026.

Same to you, hope 2026 treats you better. paua said:

I spent six months in central Africa in the early nineties. When it rained we stripped off and had a shower, rain was warm, we weren t shy.
Oh the innocent days of your twenties where running around naked and shouting b

You've no idea how chuffed I am to read that, SB. So glad to have been of assistance.

Yup, I could make it. Can make it early if you want Dicky, as we wait for Bobbers to get out of bed
That was my plan, Byker. Get there at eight (8), have a good long mooch round. Meet Bobbers when he gets there and have a second mooch. Join me for either. Much Mooching is only a mile or two past Little Trivton. It is all possible.
Ooh, ooh. New version of Wet Leg's Chaise Longue

I liked the idea of Barnard Castle.
He was unceremoniously ejected from the Towers for impersonating a reprehensible move in chess. For example: if he entered the bar and saw Battert serving, instead of walking up to him directly, ie diagonally from the door, he insisted on walking along by the wall and then up to Battert along by the bar itself, ie perpendicular to his first manoeuvre.
Reprehensible because he never diverted from his course even if Major Knight and/or Admiral King were in their favourite places.
Complete shambles. Rightful chap.
