Very nice mate, ive had a few GSXR1000s and loved them all, id imagine there are some good deals to be had on these "older" models at the mo, wise choice.

Thanks for all the kind words folks smile

Couple of answer to various points

BN the 'Gr' reference was just for you biggrin

Yes it is the litre model

The deals on these are crazy, brand new for around £11k or possibly less and that includes all the Yoshi bits and bobs you can see which aren't usually my cup of tea but actually are very subtle

I am no spring chicken and I was struggling on my 2011 S1000RR hence the whole ZZR1400 saga frown but this feels very comfy and quick enough without feeling quite as mental as the latest stuff. I only do a few hours of a w/e when warm and dry so suits that need to a tee. I am verrry aaaaapy

Just been quoted less than 9 for brnad new non ABS and a grand more for ABS. I think that is stock, no Yoshi pipes, but they said £10.5 for the ABS with Yosh. It's a heck of a bargain and very tempting....BUT, the new Suzook looks fabulous and I have a sneaky feeling it will be the surprise of the new bike bunch...? Realsitcally, what, £13k for that? So the 2016 is a deal and a half.

I was told to expect between £14k and £15k for the 2017 GSXR1000 so up around its competitors and if as good as anticipated you may struggle to get one early in the year I guess, but for me that wasn't the point I wanted something more sensible and comfortable for the road and this fits that bill very well and I believe the new one is smaller than the current model so also not good for me at 6' 2"

I am happy with my choice and hoping it will last me until I really am too old for a sportsbike smile

Place up north is doing Yoshi options on non-ABS brand new (not pre-reg) in OPs colours for £8999 otr. Seen Yoshi one for £9400 with ABS. Superb deals considering I just paid £8499 for a brand new GSXS1000F, but my old man couldn't be pursuaded on a GSXR due to comfort frown

And 0% over 4 years on the ABS model with all the Yoshimura bits and sports pack was a complete no-brainer.

I did take a brand new one out and was really tempted by the 0% deal. But when I came across a mint K7 with 4K on the clock for £5k I thought I'd save myself some cash and go for the K7. A LOT bike for the money.

Enjoy your new bike!
