The Porsche camp site
Discussion
Just like to say Hello having had a nosey through the fence of the Porsche camp next to the curves at some little hours of Sunday.
The camp seemed quite organised, although alittle squished for some of the cars in places.
Some very nice metal on show though, hopefully the owners would be as pleasing to meet as the cars themselves

I have had time to look over your comments, the feed back is much appreciated but would like to add some comments which may clarify some of the issues.
With regard to the showers two of our high quality shower units were destroyed in an accident on friday whilst bringing them to the circuit.Unfortunately we could only find showers of a lower standard and the biggest problem was the fact that they were heated by electricity not gas causing cold showers at certain times of the day.
Most members accept that the viewing position outweighed the location of the site and we must remember that we can take the whole of the site if members commit early enough.
Signage was an issue but we were not allowed to put up signs on the outside of the circuit and the Security Guards were not correctly informed of the PCGB site. We will be putting ups signs next year!!!!
The entrance to beausejour is a problem and we have already started a dialogue with the ACO as to how this can be improved for next year.
We will make changes next year with additional stand alone toilets at the bottom of the site and possible use of a minibus.
I assure all members that there are no egos involved with our organising team as we want members to have an amazing experience and will act on feedback and not ignore constructive comments.
The site is run by PCGB members not travel destinations although our tickets are arranged through Brian at 1st tickets, this is to ensure that we as a club have more control of the site.

What is the cost of Le Mans with someone like PCGB?
The facilities look superb and I'd prefer a private site with security and decent food.
Is the site a walk or a drive from the main stands? Do most members watch the race from the campsite?
Starting to prepare for next year, group of about 10 which will include a few 11 / 12 tr olds so like the idea of thios format.
(and lastly, do i have to own a Porsche?)

Walk is 30 -40 mins to main stands at an easy pace.
watch from everywhere, and do this over the 4 days of practice and racing.
