Good luck with the return to work SMM.

I will no doubt be back on garden duties today, finishing off my efforts to make it look like the Somme.

Firstly good luck today SMM.

Today I will be catching up with some old work colleagues for coffee then this afternoon I am hoping to give the lawn its first cut of the year, although I suspect the back lawn will be too boggy.

All the best for today SMM, after the description of your commute I don’t envy you pal.

I’m just back fromt farm after collecting fresh cow juice. All is not well. I’ve had the lovely Marie in tears as soon as I walked into the milking parlour! It turns out Christian is not well. Some physical but some mental. He’s in A+E in Angouleme hospital! It’s complicated to explain so I won’t , but I’m worried about him.
I thought something was wrong as he should have been delivering logs to my neighbour Gilbert this weekend but I though maybe he is just leaving it until today like. The logs are sitting in a trailer in the farm yard ready to deliver.

Fuk it.

Morning

SMM work your way in gradually today old chap. Sorry to hear your news Magoo. I’m afraid it’s all a bit unpleasant in the news on a Monday morning.

I did see my first Curlew at the weekend so at least that indicates we are headed towards lighter, longer and hopefully warmer days.

SMM - hope the first day back goes OK. Don't overdo it.

Magoo - sorry to hear about the neighbour; doesn't sound good.

Sorry to hear about Christian, Magoo.

My best mate from growing up died on Friday. I've been turning over our adventures in my mind. Falling off bikes, fixing cars, crashing cars, fancying the same girls, going to Le Mans twice and standing in the Vale at Silverstone at the British Grand Prix when Senna ran out of petrol on the last lap and Mansell stopped on his victory lap to pick him up. Good times. RIP Pete.

It's going to be a tough week.

Good moaneve, Trivs of the World!

The second day of Spring has dawned bright, with more brightness forecast for the next couple of days, so I'm orf out shortly to soak up some rays, although my lions will be suitably gridded.

Sorry to hear about Christian, Magoo - I get the impression that you're very fond of him and the lovely Marie, so I hope for the best.

I also hope for the best for the Stuntman, it's a big step to take, good luck fella!

Back to the here and now, I'll give the mighty Golf a wash this afternoon, as the wind isn't predicted to howl today, I'm hoping to get the snow foam out. I've got a relatively busy week, car washing and food delivery today, my plumber nephew coming round tomorrow to quote for some bathroom-related upgrades, followed by bin duty (that's me doing the bins, not my nephew), and a meeting at the yacht club, our neighbours, about some issues with the Grade 2 listed wall which surrounds our property, which they claim needs some repairs, for which we are responsible.

I'll need a lie-down at some point, I think.

And with that, it's back to the studio,...

Best of luck with the return to work, Stuntman old fella. Hope it all goes well.

I've just been chatting to the Brigadier over breakfast, I managed to catch up with him before he started on his second bottle:

"What's new then, young Crab?"

"Stuntman's returning to work this morning"

"Damn good show. One of the Embassy mob, he was y'know"

"Oh, I didn't realise he took part in the Iranian Embassy siege?"

"No, not that, laddie. It's what him and his mates used to smoke behind the NAAFI. Anyway, tell him light duties only, no bloody front line heroics"

"I'll pass the message on"

Firstly, Best of Luck to StuntmanMike with his comeback tour. Take it steady, young man, nice & easy does it. Everything. Don't go dashing around with yer pants on fire. Treat "normal" with extreme caution.
I know you can pull it off! thumbup

Sorry to hear about Christian, Magoo. Pity he hasn't got the support network of a French equivalent of Trivial Towers: les Tours Triviaux?
Poor Marie.
I hope things get resolved ASAP.

Dicky, sincere condolences to you on the passing of Pete, your childhood & lifelong partner in crime.
At times like this, is when getting old sucks.

Byker, for a realistic Somme effect, you need to drive around your locality gathering up all the potholes you encounter. Obviously you need to remove all the bits of broken suspension and chunks of alloys before incorporating them into your garden, but it would save a lot of expensive ordnance.

Bobbers, at work, I hope you quickly find out what's been nagging at the back of your mind, and whatever it is is totally inconsequential.
I sincerely hope you didn't leave your "Ten Years a Trivialite" mug behind at a meeting last Friday. yikes
That would be inexcusable!

Right, I hope that covers it.
Everybody else, just hold her steady as she goes, but keep a sharp lookout for any incoming, especially from the east.
No, I don't mean Norfolk, Bom. nono
A bit further east. Over there! --->>>

Paua, you can go and grab a cuppa and a Nelson Slice, and stand down for a few hours: get some shuteye, like. You've done a sterling job, Sunshine. Proud of you.

Carry on, I'm just popping over to have a word with Intelligence... nuts

My mum told me that she was really old as it had been two months since anyone she knew was in the obituaries in the local rag. At it's peak it had been averaging more than one a week. By the time she died, everyone of her friendship group of her age had died

Congratumalations on the MoT pass, A500leroy!

I take it you are reasonably pleased with the outcome? smile

I was quite happy with my last MoT results: a Pass, but with a list of advisories from the Doctor.
Oh, and something about a blowing exhaust...

Which reminds me: I need a new tube of FireGum.
