These look really good but their website is horrible. I’ve just spent 5 minutes trying to find out the cost per square metre but I’m given up.
Agreed, the website is bad! Their sales team are quick on email and pleasant on the phone though! I paid £27.66 per square metre for dark grey 7mm tiles.

Anyone used Vevor Mats? Just seen someone mention them on Detailing World and it's piqued my interest. A much more sensible price than plastic tiles (which are a stagging price IMO for some injection moulded plastic), no slats for dust and dirt to fall into and apparently won't absorb moisture or stain.

Its just a roll out mat, its not really a comparison? Single garage kits of interlocking tile are not crazy money.

I have done 2 garages now in interlocking tile from Duramat and its good quality stuff. It wears really well, and once its down its pretty much good for forever.

I never said it was a comparison. It's an alternative and I'm looking for opinions on it. Duramat is £870 to do my garage. Might not be "crazy money" to you but I don't want to spend that. I just want the floor to look neater and be warmer to work on.

I have just taken delivery of some of these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/326123086918

I am planning to use it for foot traffic in a barn I am turning into a workshop.

I have taken one out of the box and them seem pretty sturdy and well made and feel like they would easily support a car when clipped together.

It's a crappy bit of fuzzy felt carpet - you'd be better off with carpet tiles

I may have mentioned this before.
There are companies who resell used carpet tiles removed from (for example) office spaces that have changed hands and been refitted.
The tiles are graded and priced accordingly.
In most cases grade C would be fine for a garage I would think, and cheap enough to have spares standing by.
Example:
https://www.usedcarpettiles.com/shop/
But they're all over a certain well-known auction site too.

On the subject of flooring I have some plastic/vinyl tiles which I would need to cut, seems the best and cleanest way is to use a guillotine but rather than buying one just for this job any alternatives, I was thinking just jigsaw or bandsaw it as needed?

Jigsaw with a fine blade is perfect. Don’t go too fast, or you’ll just be melting the plastic, rather than cutting it. I found this out after doing a long cut, only to find the two halves had welded themselves back together again…

I had just that in my last garage, ex-office carpet tiles. The issue was that metal filings, saw dust would stick to the pile. You can't sweep dust and dirt so I was forever hoovering it to keep it clean.

I have eyes and experience

Look at the pics - particularly where it's folded

You can't fold carpet like that

Hi all

I am looking to tile my garage floor this year, the current surface is a mis-match of different finishes, etc.

I read on here a few years ago when I first though of the idea about Dotti R9 tiles, are they still the go too?

The garage occasionally has a car parked in there and occasionally will see a car jacked up on them as well, if that helps.

before laying plastic tiles down is it worth sealing the concrete below or doing any other kind of prep work?

I didn't when I put ours down and haven't had any obvious problems in the ten years or so they've been there.

Hi
I'm in a process of building extension to our garage and once finished Ill need something to put over a concrete floor.

At the moment Im using this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126614278255 unfortunately when I put my motorbike on Abba stand which has small castor wheels rolling stand with bike on it is right PITA plus it really does not shield it from cold concrete floor.

Any suggestions?

Without reading 55 pages, what's the general concenus for some half decent garage floor tiles capable of supporting a motorbike, and don't stain easily from oil etc

I'm very happy with this stuff - easy to lay, durable, and not expensive.
