This is a nice one.
Just been finished by someone I know who owns a hot rod workshop in Bakersfield, California.
Has a 390 Police Interceptor motor and upgraded C6 autobox, and with upgraded brakes and suspension.....drives very well I'm told, and the new owner was chuffed with the finished car.
Looks very sinister

Never been a fan of the 66 Galaxies. They always look a bit poverty spec to me. The SOHC looks great at car shows but a decent 427 for half the price would be way more useful in my eyes and probably not really any slower.
The black coupe looks nice. I do actually prefer the 2 door hardtops, especially the ‘62, which probably makes me a bit weird.

Not at all.....a man of taste, the '62 HT's are pretty special, but not easy to find today, especially the factory hi-per versions. There's actually this super rare, top of the engine range, factory G-Code (406ci-405hp 3x2's) 2-dr hard top, 4-speed, triple black car for sale in the upcoming Mecum Dallas auction tomorrow. I'd imagine it will make good money, but probably still not as much as a later 427 R-code 63-64 fastback would make.

And see what’s leftover, then let my bank balance decide!
Depending on any more rate rises I may bite the bullet and get a loan ,
If prices continue to drop this would probably be a prudent move,
Ok the thought of going back on the drip is horrible but it could get me close to my bucket car !!!
Be interesting to see what this '69 GTO sells for in a few days time (if it sells).......only at 10k now.Depending on any more rate rises I may bite the bullet and get a loan ,

The Tiger looks like a turd, good grief I wager that’s got several hundred weight of gob in the tub!
Odd as I’ve stopped looking on this particular site, seemed to be pretty much all foreign sellers an awhile back??
The Pontiac is at 10k but ages to go, what we looking at?
35 ish ???
Shame about the still seats etc, but I’ll have a proper look later on the laptop, phones are a bit rubbish when trying to gauge condition and what the finish is actually like !!

With you on this - except the yellow car is a '65 - the SOHC was never offered on a road going production car - this is a '66 with its coke bottle 'kick' to the rear end - better lines I think - The black coupe looks nice. I do actually prefer the 2 door hardtops, especially the ‘62, which probably makes me a bit weird.

IMHO the 'real' thing just has to be the clean lines of a '63

That’s one Fugly motor, looks like MIB’s meets the Blob !
Undoubtedly a terror in it’s day though,
I was watching some of the big ol Fords racing at Goodwood,
Blimey they really work hard to get these barges around the corse ,
Great to see them in action, shame they don’t run a full TA series , just yanks and no Cortina’s and Austin’s
Don’t get me wrong love watching then too,
But a race with just American machines,
P Jones wrestling a potent Boss Mustang,
The view through the screen and the noise is fabulous,
Always gives me goosebumps!!!

That could only happen at the Goodwood Members Meeting, as the Revival is pre-66 only, and the by nature of the Members Meeting means it would never happen sadly.Don’t get me wrong love watching then too,

Still like the shade of blue 55 at H&H, i think it called Peacock blue but wouldn't say no to Coral pink or white.
Peacock Blue is a '56 T-Bird colour. The blue for '55 was called Thunderbird Blue, which was a much lighter blue.
The '55 T-Bird an ex-girlfriend of mine has just bought and imported from the USA is Thunderbird Blue. Looks great, although the guy who restored it chose to paint the hardtop white instead of body colour.

And as for a red Ferrari (or as you say any Italian car really).........

To bring us back on topic, here's one for rat rod...

I watched the previous Judge GTO with the 750bhp Lamude engine struggle to £26K not sold at HH auction in October last year,
they re entered it in there next auction were it failed again at similar money,
Alan Carrington had the car for sale for 2 years in the mid thirties which i've sure could have been bought for a lot less.
Yet someone was willing to pay £39,750 with commission probably sight unseen 10 months later .
The new owner could have saved himself a big chunk of money if he'd only gone to the trouble of
scarrowing the internet ,what's this Collecting Cars got that the others haven't or is it just the current trendy
place to buy your toy from , Almost seems to some that where you purchase your new classic/super car is
more important than the car itself, Suppose you can boast at your next dinner party that you bought your Bentley Flying Spur from
Bonhams or RM Sothebys ,has a better ring to it than ACA Norfolk or Manor Park Classics in Cheshire who they have never heard of ,
A red MGB R V8 sold at HH on Wednesday for £20,250 when you could have had a better one last Saterday that just had a £11 K outside refresh
in a gorgeous shade of metallic green surly better than red on a MG ,only went up to a top bid of £12,500 with estimate of only £15K.
The owner of this GTO has just got on the band wagon after seeing the previous one do so well,
Similar situation to all the black Cosworth 500's that came out of the woodwork after the Silverstone one went for £600K+

Endless red Ferraris at shows do get a bit tedious but on other Italians it can look fine, certain Alfas, Masers and FIATs etc. (I like maroon too). Most of the 308GT4s that come up for sale are resale red, but it wasn't always so...

To bring us back on topic, here's one for rat rod...

I've had a brown, gold ,white, yellow ,numerous silver and blue 308 GT4's , Seem buyers bought what colour they To bring us back on topic, here's one for rat rod...
preferred back in the 70's and 80's rather than retail red just because it will sell quicker and at probably a higher price too.
Remember back in the late 80's hype there was a lot of red Ferrari's floating about with dodgy coloured interiors due to premiums being paid for
colour changed red cars.
Just goes to show what a greedy money grabbing society we have become.
They look so much better in a metallic colours anyway , just seems to suit the blunt Bertone shape ,
They look rubbish in red just like the 365 GT4's/ 400's Ferrari's.
Sorry back to yanks ,Where is the porthole on that 56 T/bird ,standard on a 56/57, not good if a Ford promotional ad, but thanks anyway

And the wonderful '56 Sage Green in real life, my favourite '56 colour along with Buckskin Tan
in this colour, looked lovely despite the strong lights showing all the micro blistering up on the paintwork.
Most convertibles only look good with the hoods down but i think they look so much better with the port hole hard tops on ,
a bit like the Pagoda Merc SL does.
