Why is it.....

...when you see a car with a "For Sale" notice in a window it's usually being driven like an apsolute tool is behind the wheel?
There's a chap with a Ford Cougar for sale at work. V6, 24V, reasonably quick, reasonably good looking car £1,300 is about right but he drives it like a tw@ and I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Many many years ago me and few mates were at a well known nightclub that had a massive carpark that attracted a lot of boys racers. As described by the OP, one in particular, a very yellow Astra GTE, heavily modded, was obviously for sale, and being ragged something chronic. Wheelspins, handbrake turns, bouncing off the limited etc etc.
Didn't think much more about it until...
A week or so later a mate rocks up in a new car. Que an awful lot of sucking of teeth and general wincing as said mate goes on to explain that he bought it on a spur-of-the-moment impulse buy because he really liked the yellow colour.

More annoying is that people put FOR SALE in huge letters and a tiny price. If the car just has a huge price in the window I can guess it is either for sale or a bloody expensive hire offer.
Or they put for example " FOR SALE, FORD FIESTA" when it's blatently obvious what car it is.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
