New smoked indicator lenses (thanks Norm) - how to fit?

Hi All,

I have a couple of newbie questions...

1. Is there meant to be a rubber seal between the lense and the indicator body? My OS one was smashed to pieces so came off real easy but there was no seal. The NS one is ok (one slight crack) but is stuck firm and doesn't look to have a seal - I'm loathe to break it off. Is there a simple way of parting them?

2. Can you still get the bulb holders? The bulb in the OS indicator was rusted quite badly and took copious amounts of WD40 and persuasion (you know - "Come on you bd, come off!") before it came out. The inside of the holder looks quite rusty.

3. Am I right in assuming that I need to replace the plain bulb with an orange bulb?

Hi Dave

1 The back and the front bits are stuck together and thers no rubber seal. Seperation is just a matter of gently leavering the amber bit off the black bit. Once it starts it comes off easi;y. But proceed with care.

2 No idea but I doubt it. Dont forget WD40 is designed as a water dispursant but does, to a degree, act as penetrating oil. Your better of with the propper stuff. You might be able to codge a replacement but I've no idea which one to start with.
