All clocks, fans and indicator failure
Discussion
Can anybody please help me out with the following: yesterday evening I drove my 4.0 Chimaera but all clocks did not work, neither did the fan come in or the indicators function. I disconnected the battery this winter bit we can not see any loose things under there. I this a central mass problem? If so where can we find this? All fuses seem to be OK, but they are all over the car, we might have overseen one.
You could have lost the earth connection, if these are all served by the same one.
Check between the chassis or other earthed part such as the steering column and the negative/earth of the failed instruments.
I think the earth for the fans is also the one for the wipers - are these working. That earth is from the chassis bolt below the radiator, at the end of the chassis rail - I think.

Of course I am glad if it will be a cheap repair, but I first have to solve it to enjoy it. Where can we find the mass points? We found one behind the right front wheel and one on the alternator, but they did not look like the main earth. We also could not find the earth under the radiator and are unable to reach the earth under the centerconsole because of the carpets glueing everything together.

Is the clock (for time) still working? If so dash earth is OK.
You may be able to test the dash earth on the instrument dial surrounds, or the metal backing thru the dash by the heater control dials?
Earth from dash may go to steering column mount. Try pulling out the switch under the console which switches off the dash illumination so you can have a look behind that panel.

For all the people who reacted and the people who might read this in the future because they have the same problem, it was the ignition feed relais. the relais itself was functioning, but it did not get it's switch-electricity. We stopped searching and gave it a direct connection to the ignition. Thanks for everybody who tried to help us out.
