July Weekender Road Run - 30th/31st July 2011
Discussion
Folks,
Kicking the planning off for a Highlands / West coast run across some stunning routes, Fast A's, twisty B's and then on to a treat of a section which we'll save disclosing on forum....
With an overnight stop, there are two choices to be made - subject to availability (hence the early planning for numbers), either B&B or Campsite, we have two potential locations so depending on the numbers we should be able to make one or the other work.
After the run into the spot we'll overnight there is a very good pub and restaurant. Day 2 will follow similar. Any questions please PM myself or Craig2003.

If you're a lurker or a newbie, see these for examples of what its all about:

Sounds great but only 2 weeks after the Highland Hoon.
Mikey - don't think there will be negative impact on the HH by a deconflicted PH run as the cross over in runners is minimal and as its the summer hols those who cant make HH cos they're abroad can enjoy this one (thats me by the way). Luv ya Ave - next year.Be rude not to.................. thought Craig wanted 23rd - is that the final date now?
I'd love to do the hoon as I've never managed one yet and I'm sure this will be a belter too.
Unfortunately my Rug rat is due to arrive on the 15th July so there is no chance of me getting a pass.
So while you lot are blasting round the highlands having a riot I'll be doing the sleepless nights whatever else the joys of 1st time parenting has in store. Still can always arrange a buggy hoon with kmm as he'll be sitting at home too.
Have a good one.

You should organise a run taking in all the ball-park/ bouncy castle places. I'd probably get aUnfortunately my Rug rat is due to arrive on the 15th July so there is no chance of me getting a pass.

in Crossford and pick them up later.

I'm going though this just now! Becoming a parent for the first time has been the best feeling ever. However enjoy your sleep while you still have time!! Unfortunately my Rug rat is due to arrive on the 15th July so there is no chance of me getting a pass.

Ok folks the route is firming up, thanks GetCarter for the pointers, we also have a fab location for the overnight. For those who are signed up please PM me and will send the details over of the stop over location. The weekend of the 30th/31st is the preferable date - having looked at the camping and with GetCarters advice it's advisable to go digs unless some of you have a fetish for the great scottish midge !
So far we have :
