Well after months of prep work to the old girl,saturday morning here was pouring feckin rain,and the weather forecast for weekend is ste.This after much deliberation has put the kyber on chatsworth as i just cant drive 250 miles in the rain ....yes i know the words garage queen will come to mind but i just cant do it.Am gutted as i want to meet you all,and was looking forward to a good drive.The only good news is that next year she will be even cleaner but this does not help me now.Booked and paid for hotel,joined AA,Spent 2 months polishing ,and she did'nt even get out of the garage

Stick the window wipers on, get out on the road & take it slow,sounds like you had a good trip planned.... might rain again next year

Also if you keep polishing it you'll take all the paint off

Lol there cant be much paint left at this point;)This always happens to me,bloody weather.went to garage tonight it was like a horror movie,fork lightening heavy rain and there she is sat warm and dry in her nest.Cant take her out in this got toyo 888s on her which only adds to the problem.Cant believe that i am going to say this but have had a thought about the old car trailer route today,oh feck i bought her to drive but already have her in cotton wool.To make matters worse we saw a black cerb heading down south which looked very nice to which wife says "see there's one out in the rain"

Look at it this way, if it gets really wet & dirty you can clean it again for hours.. days .. weeks

I'm 3 miles (as the crow flies) from Chatsworth (basically the other side of a hill) and as said earlier its raining has been for about 2 hours. Todays been wet and dry seen lots of Tiv's despite not making it to see the run, nice Tuscan MK2 stopping the other side of the road from us.

What can I say? I'm really dissapointed in you. I got up here earlier today (Saturday) with a knackered clutch and bodywork that looked like it had done 24 hours of the circuit de le sarthe! But you know what? I washed it, and I'm wrestling with the gear lever - it's all good!

I took a week off work to clean and polish my Cerb up, was a waste of time, it's was Black bright after the run in Derbyshire and I've managed to hole my exhaust .

But it will be at Chatsworth, come rain or shine.

But that's easy for me to say as I only live 15 miles away, it's a shame the weather has put you off from coming spongy, There's always next year

I live 2 miles as the crow flies. It's rained overnight but it is reasonably bright now. (and it was dry last night when I posted).

Thanks for the complements. It's the first time I've ever applied decals to a car and I ended up rushing it a bit to get it done in time to get up to Derbyshire. I'm not entirely happy with it, but, at the end of the day it's tempoary and just a bit of fun! I managed to blag some hot water out of my hotel so gave it a bit of a wash yesterday afternoon so it should look a bit better today.
