Nobility, AC failure experience, but fortunately easily corrected I recommended that you check the front Nut/flange on your Air Con receiver dryer (this is the black cylinder about the size of a can of spray paint, under the front clam, kerb side, just in front of the Tyre. After realising that my Air Con had stopped working, I had it leak tested and found that the flange nut had become loose and had allowed the O Ring to burst, allowing the R134a gas to leak out.

The fix, Halford's do a set of Green Air Con O rings £3.29 there's about 10 you don't need, but 1 in the pack fits perfectly and only took about 10 mins to change, then re gassed locally for £49. All works perfectly now.

Checking the Nut/Flange and nipping up if required may save you a bit of hassle and ~£50.

Good Shout,
I also put a new dryer on mine recently, these things do have a lifespan and need replacing and they cost less than £10.
