Hi,

I've been playing around with the traction control on a c class and when the ESP is 'off' it still seems to be doing somthing when you put the car into a drift.

Does anyone know how to turn it all off... or what its doing? It seems to cut the power around 1sec after traction is lost, and then you're away again if you push on through... odd?

Thanks

Stu

Merc's are known for never fully turning off the traction control.

On the previous model C Class (W203) there's a dyno mode in the engineering menu of the cluster computer and that turns it off for 15mins. To access it you get the display to show total mileage, turn ign key to pos 1 and press trip reset 3 times quickly. I have no idea if this works on W204 though.

It will be the stability control, ABs and the like. You can turn off traction control via the button, but that leaves the rest of the aids enabled.

Should be able to turn them off completely via some key combo, depending on the model, look up rolling road mode.
