Is a 500 Chim with 350 horses ? (and torque to match)........... Lot of money to get 350 brake, but is it worth it ??? Personal opinion obviously, but the Chim was the best looking convertible TVR made... The Tam is a lovely looking car, but, in my opinion, not a touch near the classic looks of the Chim.. So if you want classic TVR looks (in a convertible) and keep up with todays quick motors, you have to keep the Chim and unleash lots of extra power... Ultimately though, what could possibly be better than a Chimaera with over 400 bhp cloud9

I'm sure Daz will be along soon with some figures, as we've not seen one of his graphs for at least five minutes biggrin

It's a very solid engine too - a huge amount of development and serious money went into building it. I very nearly bought it to put in my Tuscan Challenge car but opted for a 4.7 AJP in the end instead. I would love to see it in a road car again though - been alongside it on track and it is a SERIOUSLY powerful engine.

Quite agree!! The back end of a Chim takes some beating looks wise.

Got to say the Griff - classic though it is - is an ugly car. Personal opinion of course!

The Tuscan is an amazing looking car and the power is off the hook but one would expect the running costs to be significantly more per year than a Chim.

This is the main reason why I decided to go for upgraded 4.6 engine in mine. Awesome looks and awesome power to match!
