Convertible roof patching/tape/resin?

Hi guys,

I recently bought the car i've wanted for 15 years, an S1 Lotus Elise - however sitting in traffic today i realised i could see daylight through the stitching in the roof. Now i know these things aren't exactly known for being waterproof, but is there any sort of special tape or resin I could use to to help make it all a little bit more water tight?
