Knockhill, Saturday May 14th. Anyone else going ?

I`m doing an Open pitlane Trackday at knockhill on Saturday with Trackscotland. Never done it before and I`m really looking forward to it.

Several Time Attack cars are booked on as they have round #2 there on Sunday.

Any other PH`ers going to be there ?

What car will you be in? I've got an oldish 7, that needs a bit of TLC really.

I know one other Caterham guy who's going...

Trackscotland seem to have their own forums if you want to chat to their regulars (I haven't bothered registering!)

Not sure what it will be like with those Time attack bods - hopefully as someone said they won't be out TOO much as they'll be tweaking/changing their cars....but they're going to be quick and won't mess around with over-taking.

My top tip is to not do too much mileage in the morning - HOPEFULLY the track will clear up in the afternoon as people head home early.

I did a full day last year organised by a Ford owners club and by 4 o clock I literally had the track to myself for an hour!!*

I can't imagine it is - normally that's only the "hot hatch" days - run by knockhill themselves...

They've been called something else now, and I dont know what they're like any more - but from youtube they looked pretty "wild" a couple of years ago.

I`ll be there in my MK2 Golf, G reg, pale Blue. Says `Nige` in the rear quarter windows.. Although this afternoon I found my gearbox is broken, so need to swap that before the weekend

It isn`t the `cones` layout that we`ve all seen on Youtube. TrackScotland run proper open pitlane trackdays, just like UK TDO`s and don`t have those cones. They don`t get the idiots who do the Hot Hatch days.

I expect the TA guys to do a couple of laps, Pit, tweak and go out and do the same. Its not worth them spending all day pounding round in the offchance they break something, so that should mean a quieter track

I will be there, and the KH track days are not like they used to be 5 years ago, no cones, overtaking only on the straights, differernt groups's so the track/race cars run apart from the road cars.
