Sandhurst @ Gridlock!

Drove off to work this morning, it had been announced that "most" of the roads had re-opened after the fire, "most" did not include Foresters Way, everyone assumed it did, so was heading towards the roundabout, see the road is closed and doubling back...

End result took me 35 minutes for a journey that would take anout 5....

Foresters Way is luckily not part of my route...

Most of Reading was at a standstill this morning and the m4 was stopped between j12 & j11 eastbound

It's insane that the rackstraws junction hasn't had a sign up at any point about the the foresters way closure - I went through sandhurst to the meadows on thursday last week and glanced in my rear view mirror as I came through the rackstraws junction out of curiosity to see what sort of signs they had up warning about the closure and couldn't believe there weren't any (the traffic looked horrible going back through sandhurst, so I came back to crowthorne past trilakes).

I am guessing a lot of people heard on the news that roads were opening and assumed the Foresters Way was included..

I agree the traffic has been poorly managed, but it's difficult to see any other options.
