I have a large jar of black olives in my pantry and i have been wondering what to do with them other just eat them.
Has anyone got any good recipe ideas to get the best out of them?
Chris.

Not a recipe as such, but I love black olives chopped up in any salad.

I sometimes mix them with tuna and mayo and have them in a sandwich.

Plant them, grow a tree and then eat the Olives when they are green.....Much tastier.

(I fully realise that this is probably never going to work).

Agree with Tapenade, only good use for black olives, I far prefer the Green ones.

Tapenade is lovely though.

Another vote for this. Capers, garlic few anchovies and a squeeze of lemon.

Stick 'em on any supermarket pizza

Mix them with tuna and hard-boiled eggs for a tasty salad

Make a tomato and olive chutney and serve with pork pie or cheese

Thanks for the ideas folks.
Can tepenade be used to make a monk fish Wellington ?? Or am I thinking to far fetched or even some pasta parcels of feta cheese and spinach with a black olive sauce.
My taste buds are screaming to just crack the jar and eat.

If they did turn into a tree, you're going to get a horrible shock when you try one....

Here is what I am thinking.
Starter - black olive and wild mushroom pasta parcels with feta sauce.
Main - monkfish Wellington with boiled rice and garden pea puree.
Dessert - spotted dick with( prunes & black olives) served with basil and black olive ice cream.
