The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Discussion
This is out next week and it looks pretty damn good, anyone else going to get it? The only criticism I have seen so far from people that have played the beta game is that the combat can be pretty tough when fighting loads of enemies at once (there are no quick health potions). Finished Dragon Age 2 a while back so I have been waiting for a decent RPG and hopefully this is it.

I think you'll find a completley seperate console version is in development.
They said work won't begin on a console version until the PC release has happened. This is absolutely the right way to do it IMO, too many games are compromised so they work on both platforms. I want the PC version to be a game designed from the outset as a PC game. Any console version should be completely separate (I have a PS3 btw so I'm not anti console gaming at all)Edited by 130R on Wednesday 11th May 13:37
I'm about 15 hours into this now and it's great. Graphics are absolutely stunning (FYI an overclocked 5850 will run this on high settings with no issues) and while it takes a while to get going, you need to stick with it for the first 10 hours or so, the story is really starting to get going now. A couple of words of warning though:
1. You must, must quick save often. This game hardly ever auto saves so if you die you can get set back miles if you forget to save. The main reason you need to do this is ..
2. This game is properly hard, even on 'normal' difficulty. You can be going along fine then you get to a bit where loads of enemies attack you all at once and it is instant death. There is no hand holding here. The first time I ventured out into the forest I got killed in 5 seconds flat.
The Witcher 2 shows Dragon Age 2 up for being the "just ok" game it was really, this is significantly better. If you like RPG's it's a must buy IMO.
