Bathurst 24 Hours

Just been exchanging emails with my Aussie mate, and mentioned how I'm looking forward to Le Man this year. He replies back saying about the 24 hour race at Bathurst. Has anyone been to watch this. How was it.It looks great

I think the race is in jeopardy as the company that runs it has folded

I saw the Oran Park Nations Cup, also run by the organisers "Procar" that Ted mentioned and they made up the majority of the front runners from last year. Only 3 top cars from last year took part. The 2 Holden's and the Diablo. All the others were lower category and lots of Porsche Cup cars (911 GT3's - 944's).

Things are looking brighter as the local government has stumped up some cash and a new consortium is being formed to take over the organising duties.

I watched the three hour highlight programme last year, do a search and you'll find the thread somewhere... unbelievable race and stunning course.
