lol.... bet that made u look at the post!!!!
So...... here it is, and after 6 months of ownership this is how it stands.
Just taken the the car for the mot on Saturday and it went straight through without a hitch, quite impressive for an 18yr old motor if i say so my self, the mechanic even came out when i picked it up and commented on how nice a car it was!!!
I have to say im loving the old mx5/eunos experience thing and what a good place this is to pick up those bit of info we all need, i've used it everyday through out the winter and its not put a foot wrong, ive seen everything from brand new Jag XJ's to even an old landy getting stuck when we had that snow (probably the driver on the latter and not the car!!!)
We went to the sunday service the other week at Gaydon, that was fun!!!!.... where were u all though????.... bit of a sad mazda turn out.
Anyway, cutting a long post a little bit shorter, it handles great, looks good and goes reasonably well, theres just one thing though, dont you just feel that it should have just that little bit more punch when putting your foot down from low revs, yes i'm going to do the whole induction kit and exhaust thing this year but what else can i do on a relatively small budget???
Your thoughts will be much appreciated

Looks like a great example. Please tell me those wheels were already on the car and you've not gotten around to replacing them though...?
What's your opinion on the two-line plate mounted on the front? I've got the same on my car and I think it really spoils the lines, more so than a one-line plate. I'm looking to get mine replaced soon, with this.

Bodywork looks very tidy, agree with the others re the numberplate and alloys, though as the wheels look in good condition I'm sure you're not about to bin them, but the brakes will probably look a bit weedy in relation to 17" wheels, and the tyres will be expensive too.
I've got a sticky front numberplate and 15" alloys, the ideal combination as everyone well knows.

Thanks for all the replys, well... to put a few things straight, the wheels did come with the car, i did'nt buy them.
I have since purchased an origional set of 14ins wheels and tyres (£45 for the set off ebay!!!!! result!!!!) and its been sporting those for a while, yes the 17s are a little on the large side but didnt look too bad in the flesh.
number plates, i have to agree the current set up is not the best to look at and thanks for the alternatives put on here but its power!!!!... power is what i want!!!!!, like i said, aside from the induction kit and exhaust that i havent fitted or bought yet what else can i do on a relatively small budget to make it that bit punchier at low revs??

Maybe the 14° timing mod will have the desired effect - free and quite easy to do: http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/articles/viewarticle.aspx?i...
