Bright Red Taxi Fleet - Making the colour really pop...
Discussion
Hi guys,
after a little more advice...
I have a fleet of 18 cars that are all bright red (Corrida Red) Skoda Octavias with a few black MPV's.
They get a hand wash and a hoover every single day at a minimum, but the paintwork is starting to look - well, tired I suppose. Lots of swirls etc.
I don't have time to take each one back with a machine polisher etc, but I do have time to give them a once over once a week with a detailing type spray. We are using AS Tango at the moment.
I'm just wondering if there is anything out there that will really sink into the swirls on a bright red car and make the colour look brighter and more obviously shiny from a distance.
I am NOT expecting them to look like a show car up close.
I know they are clean, I really want to get tongues wagging
Also, can anyone suggest a hardcore upholstery protector? Happy to clean and re-apply once every 3 months (20k miles) or so

Washing them everyday, the paint will take a beating, in that situation i would use autoglym super polish to clean up the paintwork and hide a few swirls the follow this up with a coat of collinite 845 wax as it is very durable and easy to use, saying that i have done a few taxi's with glare polish [sealant] 2 coats each and they are looking sharp with a long lasting finish.

Forget SRP and Collinite - Personal cars then yes, but I'm talking about something extremely quick that will last a week.Got any more info on this 'Glare'?

Bilt hamber sent my a test product a while back ,
the label said "milk" well its not my sort of product as it seem a temporary protection , BUT spray on wipe off with insane filling and gloss look to the paint .
proberly just a silcone type product in a bottle but thats one of your best bets i think .
contact them and say i sent you ask for milk
i sure its now called something different and more in keeping with car care than a drink now

It's their QD spray Kelly, but wouldn't stand up to more than a few days, depending on what is being used to wash the cars with, which probably won't be as non-detrimental as Auto-wash is.
For ease of use and reapplication fortnightly-monthly, then the liquid Hydra-wax would be the best option, with the QD wiped over once or twice a week.
Bottom line though, nothing is going to make paint glow like removing the swirls, which are scattering the reflected light from the red pigment.
Once that's done, and a bit more care on the washing side to minimise putting fresh scratches back in again, should keep the paint looking bright and crisp with the aforementioned products or a wipe-on walk-away product like Optimum Opti-Seal or Ultima Paint Gard (no, not misspelt - it's American).
OP, get 1 or 2 cars properly polished - doesn't need to be a full correction, just the bulk removed - then do as above and see how much difference it makes to just masking tired paint.

why not rotate round 1 after another at a rate of 2 a week, and get them a coat of autglym super resin, just once to start with.
Then use something silicone based, such as CARPLAN NANO (used it a bit) to maintain the shine.
My motorway wagon coving qwuite big milleage for private, was glymmed once every two months and silconed once a week. Dirt just fell off it, and paint shone bright.
Spraybooths hated me though.

i'd recommend contacting Jason Walker Valeting ... www.jasonwalkervaleting.co.uk
I use him and if you have a bulk of cars im sure he'll be willing to travel to you and machine polish all of them then its just regular up keep from that point forward.
Wash light polish.

if your looking for an interior protectant look into nanolex textile sealant... im sure there are other companies doing the same thing but ive had best results from nanolex.... for the cars to look shiny without a correction look into a polishing glaze... or if you search the net for a polish with fillers and or silicone content...
