As the heading said, Drivers window going up & down really slowly in the Griff. Going to put a new unit in , I know it a Ford orion window motor. Is it a drivers door from the orion that i need or is it the passangers side that i need...

The motor alone is probably the same for both sides. Take your old motor along to compare the shape. Its probably, I hope, the same motor as fitted to Escorts, even Cortinas?

Dont wont to change the motor. going to change the lot all in one, Including the regulator.
Thats the reason for the question .on which side fits

I would have thought its best to replace the felt runners that the glass slides in.

Silicone lub on runners.
Check wiring OK - I think corrosion and bad connections can cause slow window.

I re-wired my windows the modwise way on my second Griff and the difference was amazing.

If you contact David Beer (Modwise) he will be able to sell you a kit if he's still doing them or probably let you have a wiring diagram if not. (I don't have it anymore). Basically what you do is beef up the wiring for the windows and supply them through relays operated by the window switches.

Thanks Argent. Will do. Passenger side needs more umph! Drivers side goes up the whole way, then sometimes sticks. Trickle charge the battery and and down it comes, sometimes. Have manually reversed by hand the motor, after taking off the trim. Laborious.
