A quick heads-up that a member of the French Nobility (is it allowed? wink) by the name of Gautier has a good write up in a "me & my car" stylee article in the May 2011 edition of Sport Auto.
His GTO-3 is photographed with the GB reg no LJ30HCG (yep, shurely shome mishtake!) and claims that after picking up the car he had a GPS verified 300kmh (186mph in old money)as he passed a radar camera on a "north European autoroute" (I guess he was still on UK plates to avoid le guillotine) - he thinks the previous owner must have made a few mods.

I have ploughed the Members Directory but cannot identify Gautier as a member - if he is, perhaps he could make himself known.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may recognise that I translated & posted a multi-page Sport Auto road test of the 3R a few years ago. I will try to do likewise in the next week, but if any of you are heading across the Channel in the next few days you may like to grab a copy. The article is not shown on www.sportauto.fr but the website gives an idea of the calibre of the cars tested and it is quite an accolade for Noble to be rated so highly.

Sport Auto (consistent with their original test) award the Noble five stars.

Nice. If I'd known earlier, I could have bought some copies back. Just got back after a 3500 Mile blast down to Spain and back on the Bike, got back on Thursday.

Yes it's me !! For the 300km/h I think my gps was a little generous (it's not the first time that he give me more speed than the real speed) I think it was more 280km/h than 300 but I see the gps at 298
