Which Panasonic? V20 or G20

I'm looking for some advice about which new tv to buy now that our old Toshiba 32" is starting to play up and I think I've narrowed it down to one of 2 Panasonic models.

The first option is the TXL37G20B for £539 through Amazon:

The second is the TXL37V20B for £395, also Amazon:

I know I'm looking at older models here but I always thought that the 'V' series was best. I'm wondering if the extra £145 for the G20 is worth it?

I thought in Panasonic speak "V" outranks "G".

That's what I thought too but the price difference has thrown me. I'm wondering if I've stumbled on a special price at Amazon as the next best price for the V20 is £290 more expensive...

Grab the V at that price. We got a G because for the extra money at the time, the benefits to us didn't warrant the extra price, but a no brainer on that deal.

Obviously realised their error as the V is now £699! OP did you manage to order one?

Yes, I got my order in late last night. Couldn't believe my luck!

However, I got an email at 07.30 this morning to say that the order had been cancelled. No explanation was given in the email but Amazon said to contact the seller if I had an queries. I emailed the company but I've not had an answer back as yet so I think it's going to be a case of tough s4*t. I doubt I'll hear anything else about it.

Now that I've missed the deal for the Panasonic 37" "V20" I was looking to buy, can anyone give me their thoughts on this? Where does it fit into the Panasonic range?

Well, it's not plasma, like the others. Not too clued up on LCD/LED TV's, just plasmas. The Panasonic G and V plasmas are very good sets though.

Decent enough, but not a G/V 20 by any stretch. Go for the G20 if you can't get the V. They're superb.
